Introduction
Hospital Kluster Klang Valley 2 (HKKV2) consist of six institutions, namely Hospital Kuala Lumpur (HKL), Institut Perubatan Respiratori (IPR), Hospital Tunku Azizah (HTA), Hospital Ampang, Hospital Rehabilitasi Cheras (HRC), and Hospital Orang Asli, Gombak (HOAG).
Hospital Kuala Lumpur (HKL) has been designated as the Lead Hospital (LH) for HKKV2. The Non-Lead Hospitals (NLH) within the cluster are Institut Perubatan Respiratori (IPR), Hospital Tunku Azizah (HTA), Hospital Ampang, Hospital Rehabilitasi Cheras (HRC), and Hospital Orang Asli, Gombak (HOAG).

This hospital cluster was established to form a collaborative organization that enhances the quality and excellence of healthcare delivery, based on the needs, target groups, priorities, and expertise of each hospital within the Klang Valley 2 Cluster.

A group of hospitals that are collectively:
- Committed to delivering comprehensive, high-quality healthcare services at reasonable cost through coordinated services tailored to the needs, target groups, and expertise of each hospital in HKKV2, thereby improving equitable access to treatment.
- Committed to the philosophy of organizational partnership by cultivating a corporate culture and branding identity, and by sharing values that drive collective success towards a unified vision.
- Committed to ensuring fair, equitable, and efficient utilization of the healthcare workforce within the cluster, while fostering a workforce that is well-trained, competent, ethical, and dedicated to fulfilling the organizational vision.
- Focused on management and administration that address the needs, target groups, and expertise of each hospital in HKKV2, while also prioritizing patient-centered care. Both approaches are integrated to enhance the quality, equity, and inclusivity of healthcare services for the community.
Objectives of Klang Valley 2 Cluster Hospitals
- Strengthen the coordination of medical care delivery by establishing better clinical networks through joint operations and resource sharing within HKKV2.
- Enhance opportunities for equitable access to specialized healthcare services that are closer to home for local communities and target groups.
- Optimize resource utilization by improving efficiency and effectiveness in delivering patient-centred care.
- Strengthen and enhance staff competencies in delivering quality services through expanded networks, continuous training, and education across HKKV2.
- Improve patient and healthcare staff satisfaction by increasing productivity and redistributing workload according to respective expertise.
- Strengthen financial management through shared and optimized resources within HKKV2 to enhance the quality of healthcare delivery.
