How do I make a complaint, suggestion or appreciation to HKL?

Can I file a complaint without personal information?

Answer 2 

Not recommended. It is a priority that the basic information of the complainant's such as Name, Telephone Number, Address, Email and Identification Card Number are provided so that a complete investigation can be carried out. Any incomplete complaints will not be processed by HKL.

How do I know the status of my complaint?

Answer 3 

• As a preliminary notification, Letter of Acknowledgment (SAT) will be sent to the complainant to notify the complaint has been processed as well as the complexity of the complaint.

• Based on Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) of Ministry of Health (MOH), each complaint will be processed within 14 days to 365 working days (depending on the complexity of the complaint).

• The investigation process can be checked by the complainant through SISPAA (https://moh.spab.gov.my/eApps/system/index.do). Each complaint is provided with MOH reference complaint number for referral and update in SISPAA. It is a priority for every complaint to be registered in the MOH complaint management system.

• Any feedback on the settlement decision will be forwarded to complainant, either by letter or email.

• In certain view, the complaint will decide as a Medico-Legal case by the Investigating Committee. The case will be transferred to the HKL Ethics and Medico-Legal Unit for further investigation.

Public complaints (general inquiries) will be answered by HKL within two (2) working days.

No. The library services are only for HKL staffs and medical student from public or   private university.

Are vehicle stickers issued by the Kuala Lumpur Hospital Security Branch?

Answer 1

No. Vehicle stickers are only issued by the Supervisory Division of Kuala Lumpur Hospital and only for the use of HKL staff only.

In the event of a crime, to whom should I report the matter?

In the event of a criminal incident, the victim can deal with the HKL Auxiliary Police near the scene or directly to the police station located next to the Emergency Department.

What are the conditions for undergoing clinical attachment at Hospital Kuala Lumpur?

Answer 1

All professions such as medical officers or nurses who interested in training must be registered or have a valid Annual Practicing Certificate (APC) or Temporary Practicing Certificate (TPC) from their respective Councils or Boards and the name of the relevant hospital is recorded in the certificate.

Are private officers eligible to apply for an attachment at the Hospital Kuala Lumpur?

Yes. However, the application must be made 3 months prior for the department's consideration and subject to registration charges according to category and field.

How to check and print for Program Transformasi Minda (PTM)?

Answer 3

You can visit the website http://eptm.moh.gov.my. Click the certificate > check and enter the identity card number and print out.

When is the CME Management course organized and who is eligible to participate in the course?

Continuous Medical Education (CME) management course will be held on the first Wednesday, once in each month. The course are open to all staff of Hospital Kuala Lumpur.
