Cawangan Teknologi Maklumat (CTM), previously known as Unit Perkhidmatan Komputer (UPK) have started operation since 1991. CTM has established under HKL in year 2001. Now CTM has four units namely Unit Sokongan Teknikal ICT (UST), Unit Operasi dan Rangkaian (UOR), Unit Pembangunan Aplikasi (UPA) and Unit Sokongan Inisiatif ICT KKM-HKL (USI).

To provide Information Technology and Communication (ICT) in Hospital Kuala Lumpur with the objectives to improve quality, productivity, effectiveness in management, administration and daily activities.

To make HKL a Total Hospital Information System (THIS) characterized.

Planning, manage, coordinate and monitor infrastructure and ICT services to increase work productivity and Government effectiveness of service delivery system in HKL.

i. Ensuring 85% complaints related ICT received through Helpdesk service took action within three (3) working days after assigned.

ii. Ensuring Government's official e-mail (MyGovUC) applications took action within three (3) working days from the date of applications received.

iii. Ensuring network service availability operate exceed 97%.

iv. Ensuring data centre service availability operate on level exceed 97%.

v. Developing and maintain internal application system according to specifications and implementation period agreed with client.

vi. Ensuring website service and HKL intranet portal operated on level 97% a year.

vii. Ensuring Initiative ICT KKM-HKL applications service availability operated on level 97% a year.

viii. Ensuring all equipment / services maintained by contractors according to Service Level Agreement (SLA).

i. Providing support services and HKL ICT equipment maintenance.

ii. Manage and coordinate MyGovUC e-mail facility in HKL.

iii. Providing hosting service anddaily operation at HKL server room.

iv. Providing network system and HKL ICT security services.

v. Developing and maintain internal application, website and HKL intranet portal.

vi. Coordinating and support ICT initiative implementation and 

vii. Centralized contract of ICT KKM at HKL.

We provide basic computer course and transfer of technology (TOT) session related application system to users at HKL.
